Can a Walbro 255 pump enough fuel to make 550-600whp if it is an "inline pump" and there is a fuel cell in the car rather then a tank. I know the 255 is a great pump and can easily do 550whp (30psi on a 67mm) in an Evo or a DSM if it is an intank but i have heard nothing about the inline 255. I am only really shooting for about 550-600whp and really dont feel like spending an ass load on the a1000. When the inline high pressure walbro is only 119.00

The only reason why i ask is because i have heard that the walbro probably isnt a good gravity pump and that it would be hard to pump it from the cell itself.

Fuel Sys.
8 gallon cell, -8 lines, stock fuel rail, 1000cc injectors.

If it will be enough for my build, could an aeromotive filter be used? Does Walbro make filters for their inline pumps? If not, whats a good filter to run if the aeromotive will not work.

If you're using -8 lines, why wouldn't an Aeromotive filter work? Really, any -AN filter would. Anyways, I've heard of people running fuel pumps in series, like one 255 in tank to feed a second inline pump. That way you wouldn't have to sump your tank.

Another thing to consider is dual in-tank pumps. Full blown makes a drop-in dual pump kit that keeps the sender and all that stuff. I think Shearer does too... or maybe they advertise it in their upcoming products section. I can't remember right now.

Ive heard about the dual pumps and ive even heard of ppl running dual intanks and an inline walbro for a nice trio. I am set on the fuel cell and the gas tank and lines are alrdy taken from the car. Ive even alrdy cut the spare tire hump out that is in the back part of a 1g.

Yep, thats where the problem lies. If i can get a cell with the fittings on the bottom rather then the top, i think i will be alright, at least i hope i will be.

I'm sure that somebody makes one - or just plug the top ports, and drill/tap your own fittings in the bottom.
