so my driver's side windshield wiper isn't working. i wondered why, thought maybe the motor was fried on it so i start to take it apart...and i noticed where the arm is connected to the motor, it's threaded so it'll grab. well the arm itself is smooth now, so is that why it's not working? i can only assume so because with the arm off, the motor turns freely.

if that what's wrong, i can just replace the arm and be ok right?

Both arms are driven by the same motor. If it's the splines inside the arm, and not on the post, a new arm will fix it. A few strands of copper wire slipped in there may give it enough grip to hold, but there's no telling how long. Check the Classifieds, or post a want ad so the thread isn't closed as a WTB.
Avenger parts are the same, check eBay as well.

yea it's just the arm because the passanger's work. i was driving in the rain and just happened to notice my drivers side wiper was hanging off the side of the car. (and sorry i wasn't really trying to make it a WTB) :thumb:

For the life of me I cannot remove the drivers side wiper arm from my 2000 Nissan Frontier. Yesterday it started raining so I turned the wipers on and only the passenger side would work. The splines inside must be stripped. The motor is working fine. Anyway, any tips or suggestions to get it off so I can replace it ASAP.

Thanks,
Ryan
