Hey guys, I have a 2g lowered on Eibach sportlines on stock shocks and I have it riding on 17s with 225/45z/17 and I rub in the rear.

My question is that under the wheel well of the rear, if I can bang in the underside of the quarter panel so that that part thats hitting my wheel won't hit it. LOL So yeah, I am asking you guys to whoever has done it, will it mess up the quarter panel cosmetically?

I also have a 2G lowered and I used a rubber mallet to pound up the quater panels. It chips the paint on the inside where you hit it, but I do not have any outer cosmetic damage.

correct tires size on that is 215/45/17 or 215/50/17, shouldn't be any bigger, but people still do it.

WTF what are you talking about? WTF

The tire size is not the problem. It all depends on the offset, width of the wheel, and how lowered your car is. The problem is the sportline springs SLAMS the car.

For example, i have a 17x8 w/ a 35mm offset and i have had 225/45, 245/40, 235/45 on my wheels and no rubbering. The reason is my coilovers have a decent spring rate (9 in the front & 6 in the back) which are stiffer than any "off the shelf" spring I have seen. The other reason is my car is not slammed only about 1"-1.2" lowered.

A stock 205/55/16 is a overall diameter of 24.9"

215/45/17=24.6"
215/50/17=25.5"
225/45/17=25.0"
235/45/17=25.3"
245/40/17=24.7"

All these tires are within .xx" of stock size and have no problem fitting on a DSM (1Gs cant not tuck 245's as easy as a 2G)

FINALLY,

MELIKETOBALL just roll the rear fenders and you will be ok
