when i drive the car it pulls great in all gears except 1st. it just revs up and the boost comes online but the car really doesnt move, the second i put the car into second and get on it, she moves out great. i have my mbc set at 14 pounds. I have zero boost leaks(checked up to and including 20psi) Any ideas what it could be. I dont think its my clutch since it has only 2k on it and its an act 2600 and it holds strong in all the other gears, even in second down low and i tried putting the car into 5th a a low speed and flooring it, the car just bucked but no sign of slippage. any idea??? also if it matters i also notice that in some gears sometimes the power doesnt come on totally smooth, i can feel very small gaps in between the power if that makes any sense.

thanks guys

First gear feels slower because it does not provide as much load on the motor as other gears. I believe in first gear you make about half of your full boost, so around 7psi in your case. I could be wrong about this...

First gear doesnt feel very fast. Thats normal. The power gaps are probably cause you need a good tune.

i am about to get an safc this week. is it worth wiring in or should i just wait till i get my 550s and 2gmaf to tune??

you should probably get an afc and wideband. if youre running rich in the higher gears, its gonna be 10x worse in first gear. i had that problem when i put my new maf in. first gear felt pig slow, then i took out some fuel and it hauls like normal.
