I left my lights on the other day, so I jumped my car. After jumping it I realized that my Greddy Turbo Timer was not on. When I got to my destination I got out and took out the keys but the car didn't shut off, but the turbo timer was not on, so there was no count down and the car would essentially run for ever. In addition to this there was smoke coming out of the turbo timer... So i got under there and found were the power was spliced into and disconnected it. The car then died.

However, now when I try to start the car I get the lights on the dash but the motor doesn't turn over, not even a click from the solenoid. Can this problem be solved by replacing the turbo timer, or is there something else I can do in the meantime to be able to drive my car?

P.S. I did not install the turbo timer, it was the only thing already on my car when I got it. The car is a 2g gs-t.

Since you didn't install the turbo timer yourself trace the wiring back to make sure it was installed properly and to check to make sure the connections are good. This probably won't solve your no-start problem but it's probably a good idea to check it out.

Check to see if there is a turbo timer wire harness used on the install. It will be a short 3-6 inch harness that is plugged into your ignition switch on one end then into the cars wire harness on the other then to the timer. It looks a little like a " T ". If it has one unplug it and plug the cars factory harness back into the ignition switch and your car start. If the timer was smoking I would be willing to bet it's fried.

To get to the harness just remove the plastic cover around your steering column.

Thanks for the help guys. I will check out the harness ASAP. Ill give and update on the situation once I figure out the problem.
