i was shopping for some random parts on a popular tuner site when i came across a balance belt and a timing belt.

they're description is exactly the same, and the only difference was a huge gap in price and as well as a different name.

can someone please specify and clarify which does what and what is what and what goes where?

this is a super noob question. i tried googling it, but nothing specific is coming up.

thank you.

The timing belt is exactly that, it wraps around the cams, crank pulley, etc. Whereas the balance belt keeps the balance shafts in time. The price difference is due to the ginormous size difference in belts. Next time instead of googling it, try "searching" it here on Tuners :thumb:
