I am having problems starting my car, and I am guessing that it is a little thing that I forgot to do. I’ve check to make sure all my sensors are hooked up. All are hooked up except ac, MAP, Emissions, fog lights, condenser, and the 2 sensors that were on the coolant bottle bracket) I primed the oil before starting. At first in had a big fuel leak after I hooked fuel back up. Fixed that easily and then it still didn’t fire, I noticed that my coil pack was plugged into the ac connector (dumb mistake, really close to another and same plug). I swapped the plug and then cranked it with a plug wire off to verify that I had spark, I did, so I put it on and it still wouldn’t fire (alittle smoke came out of tail pipe, there was little combustion I am guessing, but didn’t turn). I tried a few more times hoping that it would turn, still nothing.

I was reading the problems starting a new engine section on DSMWIKI, and I made sure that my plug wires were properly swapped (even tried swap them on the coil which the site said was okay).

Now here I am. On the WIKI page, it said check to see if your ISC plug is connected to the fuel injector resistor pack. I was looking on the firewall for it, and found a same plug, however it was impossible to swap the two because it was to far away, however after trying to start it I felt the ISC and it did seem warm. Where is the plug located where it can easily be mistaken for the ISC plug???

As for dsmlink, I changed my fuel setting to the base setting in the manual for my 850’s, and I also made sure that my CAS was inverted, which it was. I haven’t added my O2 or MAFT to the values yet, but I don’t think that can cause my engine not to start. Also I didn’t blow a ground because all of my settings make sense.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Please help me think of something I didn’t do yet for the engine to run

Wow I am not alone. Except I start my engine and died right away now. I also have the same things as you disconnected and remove (ac, coolant map etc.. Is your Knock sensor and CAS connected. Take out the line that goes to the fuel rail, put a bottle carefully there and check if you have fuel. If you have fuel and spark, check timing. If all is OK, check the crankshaft sensor ( becareful, the plug is the same as the coil pack and A/C so they are easily confused) Also check CAS and your car should also start with ISC disconnected. I know since when my ISC went bad I took it off. Idle was crazy but car did start. But most important look if you have fuel for now. You said you have spark.

havn't yet checked the compression. The cam timing mark were lined up like they are suppose to be when i did the timing. It is getting spark, and i know its getting fuel to the rail (had a huge leak at first had to fix), however the only thing i am leaning towards is the injector resistor... However if i was looking at the correct thing, it is about in the middle of my fire wall and would be impossible to corss the plugs (DSM WIKI said its a common error while starting a new engine). I only think this cause i verified spark, and fuel is atleast getting to the rail. I am going to go throught once more and check ever connector, but i am pretty sure my last 3 times i looked they were all fine...

All the help is appreciated

Umm I am confused when you said that the ISC can be misplugged with another sensor. I am pretty sure you cannot mistake the ISC connector with a another one.
