I installed an ACT2600 with ACT XACT flywheel (STEP height was checked) about a month ago, the clutch ran fine. After a while i noticed harder shifts and the shifting becoming harder to get into 2nd and grinding each time it was put into reverse. I found the slave cylinder was leaking oil, replaced it with a new OEM one, a Stainless steel clutch line, and an extended slave rod. After completing the installation the shifting was no better. I bleed the cluth with a mini-vac and the conventional way until it was all new fluid. Still nothing, it still shifted really hard and its only getting worse. So i changed the slave rod back tot he stock one and it still didnt help. What other parts could possibly wear out with this clutch.

I have a act 2600 clutch with a tre built trany and have done exactly the same stuff as u have i tried bg sincro and red line fluids and nothing, shifts ok until after u run for about 20 mins then almost impossible shifting, I start in reverse to avoid grinding in reverse. the act clutches just plain out suck:notgood: they are just to hard. I have three other friends with 1gens, all hade acts and removed them after like 1000 miles and went back to centerforce's and all shift like stock the centerforces only are good for like 25,000 miles then its time for a new one, but centorforce is or already came out with one that is supposed to be a liitle stiffer than there stndard but lighter than the act's

Have you tried adjusting the clutch master cylinder under the dash? The extended slave rod is a scam. If you know how the system works, they won't do a darn thing. I wouldn't be driving the car with a dragging clutch like that. You are going to destroy your synchro blocker rings.
