ok, i had this guy put my sbr stage 1 small block in my car. replaced the clutch, along with other parts. For some reason, the gears are harder to get in, mainly 5th and R, but the others are ruff, and take more effort than before he pulled it. Also, my clutch is not engaging all the way. The master and slave cylinders are working properly. What could be the problem, besides the fact the mech. was a retard! He didnt even check anything im guessing, because my timing belt it rubbing on something, so he's gotta fix that as well.. and he didnt put all the nuts and bolts back on, and left the piece that holds the shifting cables loose, i tighted it up, so i didnt move, but it's still hard to shift. Anyways, is it possible that the retard forgot to put the pivit joint thing, that the fork pivits on, in. Or possibly put the bearing behind the fork? would that cause harder shifting and clutch not to engage all the way? He said there were a couple more things he had to do, but damn. if he messed up my tranny, he's not gonna like me very much, considering im friends with the local magistrate :)

Did the new clutch replacement include a ACT 2600 + setup?

If so, and this is the 1st heavy cluch on the car the problem lies with your clutch hydraulic system. More than likely the clutch lever arm is worn out, and not fully pushing in the master cylinder arm.

If it worked with a 2600 + before, the problem probably lies in adjusting/bleeding the system properly.

no, unfortunately, i couldnt not afford a clutch upgrade at the moment, so its a stock clutch... i don't plan on running it hard any time soon anyways... i just want to drive it again. :/ he said i need a new slave cylinder, but it seems to be pushing the fork as far as it'll go, so i dont think that's the problem... could the fork be the reason it's hard to put into gears even when the car's off? also, it seems like my clutch ped has more play before you can start to feel it.. its really light until almost at the bottom of the floor board.. i know something isnt right here, i just dont know wot :/
