knock sensor

hey guys, well im tighting up everything from my motor swap and i came across a missing knock sensor, (right behind the block) and i was wondering if i could use a 1g 4g63 engine knock sensor, or does it have to be a 4g63t 2g engine that i get the sensor from?

Plugs are different. just buy a 2g there not that expensive about $50.

The knock sensor needs to match the ECU. So on a 2G you should use the 2G knock sensor regardless if you have a 6 bolt or original 7 bolt in the car.

Why?
Are the two ECUs from different generation DSMs?
If so how are you going to make them work?

No.

You just need a 2g knock sensor with a 2g ecu. If you try to use a 1g, the ecu will throw a fit and go crazy.

Like stated. just pick one up, not that expensive.

the plugs are EXACTLY the same I just plugged my 90 knock sensor into my 95 harness
