Have you checked all Wire Connectors under the hood?

An unplugged MAS will give symtoms like you are describing.

Also, if you have upgraded Open Element Air Filter you should check the Honeycomb Screen(s) in the MAS itself.

I diagnosed a problem much like you are talking about (not a boost leak) to being the Big Square HoneyComb popped out of the MAS and laying inside the Air Cleaner.

Good luck....fingers crossed for you :thumb:

well it cant be the mas because i have the maf and maf-t setup. all of the plugs are in and secure.

when i build boost it just starts to bog and accelerates really slowly like it is running really rich. but its not blowing black smoke and my data logger says everything is runing good...

last night i left the battery unpluged for awile and after when i drove it, it was just fine for about 100 miles..

ok so i have more info on whats going on.. i guess i wasent paying attention at first but i just noticed that right after it starts boosting, my timing retards all the way to -1.. now this is at 10psi, it runs fine from 1-8..

could thit just be the gas i put is was bad and was not really 93oct.

just a thougt but any help would be great

Check your Plug-Wires..I had a very similar problem...Was driving WOT up a hill felt like a IC pipe blew off..looked was nothing, thought was a Boost leak...Nothing then next changed out my Spark Plug wires...Problem solved.

When this happens in my car, I can still build boost fine, but my wideband reads pig rich...in the low-mid 10s. The car doesnt really go anywhere. If I was to build a few pounds of boost, my wideband would read somewhere in the 11s. But if I build the same amount of boost as this problem is occuring, the A/F ratio's are in the 10s. ANYONE??? Save me and 99GSt 4life!!!
