This dsm is going to be the death of me.... My car has been nothing but problems since the day i bought it, costing me so much, and i'm really on the brink of selling it . Being an amateur at working on cars, i'm really regretting buying the dsm 
Got in the car today and it starts with a hesitant thumping sound comming from the engine bay, and i get out and there's some black smoking coming out of the exhaust... I start driving, and everything is fine for a while, but then it starts idling so high at like 2.5 - 3k. Shut it off and it makes that weird thumpy sound in the engine bay again.So i get out, check the oil, there's minimal oil, like not close to the first notch.... Im wondering if this has something to do with changing oils, because i took it in to a mechanic and it had synthetic in it, but he changed the oil saying it was dirty and accidently put a really thick regular oil back in....
Think im just going to take it to a mechanic , blow a crapload of money again, then try and sell it
