2G Intercooler piping and vacuum line....

I recently purchased and installed an Evo III 16g turbo on my 97 Eclipse GS-T. I am having trouble with my intercooler piping coming apart at about 15PSI. I have tried various thing to keep it together but for some reason it keeps coming apart .

Also I have a Greddy E-01 boost controller I'm trying to install but on my new turbo it has eliminated the vacuum line on the turbo housing, does anyone know why that is and what options do I have for a vacuum line for my boost controller in place of the eliminated one?

Also what are signs of an internal wastegate not working properly? Could this by why my intercooler piping is coming apart?

What have you been using to keep the pipes together? they really shouldn't be separating... Do the ends of the pipes have rolled lips? i would assume so because its a greddy unit but who knows...

Like what?!

Try T-bolt clamps, try hairspray, try filing the ends of the piping (in conjunction with the hairspray) so that there are now ridges/edges for the couplers to grab on to, try JB Welding the couplers onto the piping (in conjunction with the filing technique). BTW you may want to think about utilizing (at least) two "hump hoses" instead of the normal couplers. Also, the Greddy IC piping kit does in fact have the securing lips - make sure your clamps are properly tightened.

Try JB Welding the couplers onto the piping.

WTF... Don't worry, I know you meant "try JB Welding a bead onto the IC piping to hold the couplers."

You will need to tap a hole for a nipple onto your J-pipe/Lower IC piping to replace the one that used to be on your compressor cover.

Your wastegate basically can have 2 problems.
1. Not closing properly, in which case it will be hard to build boost
2. Not opening properly, in which case your boost will go beyond what you set it at.

If your IC piping is coming apart at 15psi, it's too early to tell if your wastegate is having issues.
