Pretty much what the title says. I'm about to buy a boost controller, but don't know what to buy. I want cockpit access something fairly easy to adjust in the cockpit. Also I have a 1G BOV that I want to install. What do I need to install this? Thanks for your help. BTW I have a 1995 eagle talon TSi

i have always lived by. iam to poor to but cheap parts. the company forge is good.there atmosperic bov did not trip check engine light.and i don't stall at red lights. plus they make in car boost controller. that is ratchet type. 2 clicks is 1 psi :talon:

I agree with EBC being over rated. I have a Blitz EBC and it was a not worth the extra. Don't get me wrong, it works great and has a bunch of cool features, but not enough to justify the price difference with a manual boost controller.

To use a 1g bov you just need to get a hard upper intercooler pipe and weld a flange on. If you have a competent exhaust shop they should be able to hook it up for cheap. Which is good because you'll probably want to go with a front mount intercooler eventually and you'll have to redo the piping.

To install the 1g bov you can also use a 1g bov flange that bolts right into the rubber flange on the stock 2g upper intercooler piping. I used one of those when I was using the stock intercooler piping. So I got a flange for the 1g bov if you want shoot me a pm about it.

I have a Hallman ES mbc and I couldn't be happier with it, it came with all the hardware needed to hook it up and instructions.
If you're wanting an mbc next to you in the driver seat I don't think you understand how the mbc works.
To have that much hose going into the car wouldn't be good because you're going to get boost spikes. Besides you shouldn't be changing your boost levels that much anyways, should have a set boost level for driving conditions, (track or street).
If you're wanting like a street boost setting and a track boost setting your best bet would be something electronical that can change to some stored settings that you've previously tested and tuned to etc.
Hope this helps ya.

Hallmann kicks ass and they do make the in car adjuster like mentioned above by kmoore. The Hallman Pro Evo keeps the MBC near the turbo and uses a cable that runs into the cab. This let's you adjust boost in the cabin.
But i mean, it takes me less than ten seconds to pop my hood and raise or lower mine. I could see if you were at a place you didn't want to get out of youre car and adjust the boost a little it could come in handy.

Thanks everyone. I got more replies than expected. Money isn't really an object now, so I don't have to be cheap. Although I do not mind saving money, and I am a DIY type of guy. I forgot I do have the FMIC kit with a 1G bov flange welded to it. I will use that for the 1G bov. Basically I was looking for the best bang for the buck with conveniences. Even though going under the hood is no big deal, there have been times late at night at a stop light when an in cabin Boost controller would be handy against that mustang!!! I don't drive my Talon alot so when I get in I want to do as little as possible, and enjoy the ride (don't get me wrong I'm not lazy) I just love conveniences. thanks again everyone.

Also where would be a good place to get a ported O2 housing, Hi-flow cat and bigger downpipe??? I need a catalytic converter in my state so a Hi- flow would be needed for my car,I'm not too keen on the idea of strait pipe for a street car in Texas. I have a 2-1/2 inch cat-back exhaust installed now

EBC's are overrated. If you really want an "in-cabin" adjustability from a Boost Controller, then get the Hallman and get the Evo kit (I think that is what its called) with it.

Have you ever owned an EBC to know their overrated? I would have to disagree with this expecially being a fwd. Drivers seat control is very nice & while some MBC's do have this option they don't have adjustable gain etc, which is a very nice feature for tuning larger turbo's to help with spool up. EBC's also tend to add alot of other features that tend to be very useful such as boost smoothing, etc. Being fwd I think of of the best options that some EBC's offer is the ability to run different boost in different gears or have it speed or rpm dependent. Personally I owned a Greddy Profec Type S & my opinion was is was a POS. It had a software error when I bought it so I couldn't run past 17 psi, sent it back took 4 months. After the update boosted fine but after a month of use the gain control went screwey & couldn't get stable boost or stop boost spikes. Sent it back again & took another 4 months for repair. After that, they sent me a brand new unit which I sold to purchase the Apexi AVC-R.

For downpipe I would recommend RRE www.roadraceengineering.com I run their downpipe & it works great. There's is a short version so you can bolt in their aftermarket highflow 3" CAT but can swap it for a straight pipe if you want to at the track etc. I run their cat as well because of cops & emissions around here. Their also faily close to you, which is a bonus.

Also I do have an automatic tranny, and the tranny cooler gets in the way of me installing one of the intercooler pipes on the drivers side. Can anyone tell me how to relocate the cooler, or send me a link? I pretty much know how to relocate, however if I can have instructions from an expirenced person who has done this, that would be great!!!
