Winnipeg,
Okay well today was a horrible day i parked my car and then went in it and turned gar on hit the gas the car wasn't going anywhere.... Lucky for me there was a shop there so i just took it there and it was thorttle cable so we cleaned it and now its kind grindy when it hit the gas pedal..... think i need a new cable? Or i should buy a new one.... i called and $93 for F****ing cable you gotta be joking...  If i need one does anyone have one, or konw any good cheap place to get one.......?

O ya if there are anyone here selling a throttle cable or parting your dsm let me know!!!

Did you actually look under the hood at all? Have someone press it down, and see whats causing the problem. Maybe your throttle body has some gunk on the lever or something.

Nah man it was all good definately throttle cable because when we pulled the cable the other end wouldn't even move... so now we put grease and shit on it... its a bit better but still kinda grindy.

Would a 93 tsi thorttle cable work because there is one at the junker....

Anyone can help me? Would a 93 tsi throttle cable work on my 95. Seems like their the same or is there anyone who has one lying around.

The best thing is to go to a junk yard, I would retrace your wire just to be sure before you go out and start spending money though.

Yea i was thinking of taking it out and seeing if its long enough or not. Is there any lubricant i could use or you think i need a new cable?

it could also be due to the cable rubbing against something, perhaps the inside of the throttle casing. You should be able to get a brand new throttle cable for like 50 bucks shipped from mistubishi graveyard, but i could be wrong...

Do you still have a working cruise control? If you do, there's a box where the cable goes to and connects to a pulley that turns. If the metal in there got bent somehow (if it doesn't have a cover), you'll have the issues you are describing.

If you don't have cruise control, you can get a 2G non-cruise control cable and install it.

No I do not have that box just have cable going to one end to the other end where that circle thing is.... Also are they any pics of this install I can get the end to fit in that little circle....!!

So mine doesn't have cruise control would a 1g non cruise throttle cable work? Also wouldn't a cruise cable be long enough anyways? Would this be the right cable to get http://dsmparts.com/customer/product.php?productid=429&cat=123&page=1 doesn't have a particular year.

Mitsubishi graveyard sells it for $45 shipped. Thats where I got mine from. Send them a payment, you'll get it 3 days later.

A cruise control system is 3 parts of cable - pedal to box, box to throttle body, and box to cruise control module.
