Toronto,
I ask because I have what looks like a leak at my transfercase thats related to whenever the clutch is pushed in.

If the Master Cylinder leaks from the engine side of the firewall, where would I see the fluid?

No bump. It can leak on the engine side but it's rare. It will run down the firewall or maybe you have a cracked line. I know when it got cold out I had problem with moisture getting into the lines of my master cylinder and freezing so when you go to push the clutch it would break the line. Check all the lines as well as the master.
