hey guys im going to appoligize in advance, ive been searching the forums but i must have overlooked it or something. My question is.....how to tell the difference between a stock 14b turbo and 16g what do i look for to tell what kind of turbo i have. i was told it was a 16g but im unsure i can see it says tdo5h so is that a 16g? i know ive seen this discussed before but i cant find it sorrry!!!!

Go here to see pictures of what the 14B v.s 16G looks like:Prices and Pictures

A 16G will have double veins: the blades are paired, and staggering heights.

14B will have 49178-01030 on the compressor cover.

Small 16G = 49178-05200

Big 16G = 49178-04200

evo3 16G = 49178-01470

Here's a pic of MY small 16G compressor wheel:

As dsmonster said, the serial number is the easiest way. You can also look down the intake throat, a 14b has twelve blades EVENLY spaced and the 16g has six pairs of doubled up blades.
