2.3 exhaust questions

Hey everybody, I'm getting close to having my car back on the road. She's had a 2.3 stroker built up, and that's getting paired with a GT3076R and a small wet shot, with water injection to cool things down. After all this, I'm running low on $.

I'm looking at my current exhaust which is a 2.5in turbo back, cat deleted exhaust and questioning it's capabilities with this new set up.

Considering a cut-out, which would be comparable to open headers, as a cheaper way to get around buying a whole exhaust and also to have another unique item to my ride. Cut-outs are around $100, about 1/4 the cost of a new bigger exhaust system.

What do you guys think? Is 2.5in too small?

it may be too small for me but possibly not for you. what do you want. What are your goals? Of course you WILL feel gains going up that much 3" is MUCH larger.

My goals are to have a quick, fun, streetable car that sees a little bit of autocross and a little bit of drag. Probably pump gas with G Force tires. So nothing like a purpose built car or anything, just an all around street car.

then have fun and upgrade when you have the spare cash. spool shouldn't be a problem w/ the stroker. So why worry about the added expense. Get it when you're more comfortable spending it.
