exhaust manifold leak

I just wanted to know if an exhaust manifold leak will affect the boost on the turbo.

Yes it will. Those exhaust gases that are leaking should be spinning the turbine.

yes. Pre-Turbo exhaust leaks affect spool up, max boost, and general turbo-engine performance.

Now exactly how big of a leak would cause that? You would thing it would need to be a big one... I recently blew the ol t25 an did a bt28 an am having problems car cuts out when i get into any boost. When I had everything off I ported out my 02/exh man, well i dropped my exhaust man when I got to work to port it so I ran over to the solovent tank an washed er off an found a tiny crack nothing to big but went all the way through....

Did a boost leak at the turbo intake an only got 5 pounds on the gauge, hear no leaks for only 5 pounds exept in the valve cover which has a slight crack which I knew abou(changing cover this weekend)
