Do I need a 6 bolt thermo housing, radiator hose, water pipe for 6 bolt block swap?

Just as the title says, I am unsure if I will be needing the 6 bolt thermostat housing, water pipe, and lower radiator hose when I swap in my 6 bolt block and still have my 2g head? I read the whats needed article from rre, but I also then read through here and people said all they needed to do for the 6 bolt block swap, was the 6 bolt oil pan, 1g CAS, motor mount mod and lower timing belt cover. Please correct me if this is incorrect. I have spent a ton of money already so I would really like to not buy anything extra!
Thanks.

I have a 1996 Eagle talon and did a 6boilt swap to it, all you need is a 2g starter, 2g, power stearing pump, 2g atl, and you gotta change the motor mout, on the right side of the motor, to a 2g mout...If you need any more help just let me know...

My car is already a 2g I am asking what 1g parts I am going to need for sure. I have heard both ways about if I need the 1g thermostat housing, lower radiator hose, and water pipe. Trying to confirm here which it is.

I did the 6 bolt swap about 1.25 years ago.

I had a complete 6 bolt longblock with intake manifold and my 98 GSX sitting there.

I ended up using:

6 bolt short block (2G head/intake was SOOOOooo much easier on the factory harness)
1G CAS
Modified 2g mount with 1G tensioner arm
2G cylinder head
2G intake manifold
2G transmission starter mount plate
1G Turbo water pipe
1G thermostat housing
1G lower radiator hose

Runs great, does not throw anymore codes now, finally I have a (dare I say it?) reliable AWD DSM to DD.

Good luck, PM me personally if you need any guidance.

Magnus Motorsports has the entire write up that I followed to the letter, ready to print off and get busy also....

Hey so the 1g thermostat and water pipe and lower radiator hose is necessary? It has to be off the 6 bolt? Or any 1g? Did you get a new lower timing belt cover also?
The upper timing belt cover is the same correct?

Well, you COULD use the 2G water pipe and thermostat housing and lower radiator hose.....I guess.

Originally my intention was to use the complete 6 bolt/1G head setup, but after I realized what a PITA stretching the 2G Wiring Harness across the head to reach the coil pack, transistor pack, I went with the 2g head/IM and just used the 1G stuff like the list implied.

Yes I had to get a 6 bolt lower timing belt cover... thats one high dollar piece of ABS plastic WTF .

If I were to use the 2g thermostat housing and water pipe and radiator hose, would i have to modify them or what? I am not familiar with the difference really. How much did you pay for the lower timing belt cover? Is just the 6 bolt one the expensive ones? Or would my 7 bolt one be expensive as well so I can sell it?

If you use a 1g head, you HAVE TO use a 1g thermo housing.

I used 1g thermo housing, 1g water pipe. Make sure the pipe is a turbo water pipe. I used both of my 2g radiator hoses. The lower hose needs to be modified a bit, but nothing crazy.

I bought my timing cover for like $70 brand new from JNZ. Slowboy also has them. I didnt sell my 2g timing cover because I cracked the hell out of it while taking it off.

Basically, buy everything that is listed in Magnus's guide, except the radiator hoses.
