palm wont connect to car...

i just got my palm lllc in and the cable from digital tuning. im still waiting on the email for there software but will im waiting i tryed palm'n'stein and obdgauge and both of them wont connect to the car.. i can hotsync to the computer so i know that cable works but when i try and connect to the car all it says is a initializing....(obd gauge) or connecting..(palm'n'stein)

i am using the cradle that came with the palm but from what ive read it should still work..

open OBD gauge, hit menu, options, preferences. Interface should be multiplex. Baud=19200, address = 25, protocol= ISO. Check and make sure these are correct.

It is possible you have a fuse out. I could not connect becasue of that a little while ago.

It can allow you not to connect to your car. Im not sure what fuse. It never hurts to check all of them once and a while.

You said earlier in this thread that you dont have the software on your palm yet? How would you even connect without that? You could'nt. What are you trying to connect to if there is no sftware on your palm?

For MMcd to work on my 1g I had to change to palm O/S 4.0 for it to work. But the logger in my 2g still has 3.5 on it. I would try upgrading if that doesnt work then I would suspect a problem with the interface. Maybey its a compatabilty problem, wait on the software you ordered before jumping to conclusions.
