Hey everyone... quick question for ya. How hard is it to find a transmission for a 2g GS-T and where I would go to get one if they are available. I know the non turbo trannies wont fit nor will the AWD ones. So Im kinda stuck here. Please get back with me. Thanks for your time.. later.

AWD transmissions can fit in a fwd car but require modification, but they are also harder to find then a fwd. It's easier just to rebuild one if you have one. I would give Gary at Mitsubishi Graveyard a call, If he doesnt have one he can rebuild them check out the sponsor section you can also try www.karking.com.

I would first try eBay, I always see them there. Then check your local scrap yard, and http://www.mitsubishigraveyard.com

Yeah I did actually try ebay... but all I found were automatics and 1g trannies... and AWD trannies but no real FWD 2g trannies... so thats why I came here... cause this place is awesome and thought someone would know.. thanks for the help.. later.

Yeah Ive heard they can fit... but that it is rather expensive and only Shep or TRE can do it. And thats why Im in this predictament is because the car I was gonna get needed the tranny rebuild.. well apparently from what the guy Im buying the car from says is that he sent the tranny to Shep to get rebuilt and when Shep was sending the tranny back to him, they sent the guy a 1g tranny instead and no one has claimed to get a wrong 2g tranny. So Thats kinda why I need the actual transmission.. if I could rebuild it... wouldnt be a problem at all.. And yeah Ill give Gary a call and then check out that website.. I was able to find AWD trannies all over the place on ebay... but then again its ebay and dont real sure if I would want to mess with that... but again thanks a lot for the help.. later.
