What size hose do I need for vacuum lines?

I want to replace the majority of the vacume lines in my engine bay. What size hose do I need?

I believe it varies between 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm. Best bet is to take a small chunk of each of the old and have them size match it at an autoparts store. I think they use se sizes so that would be the easiest way to go about it.

Instead fo trying to take chunks of your vaccum line to the parts store this link is another option, looks pretty good as long as ya dont over do it.

I would stick with stock for vacuum lines. I tried the RRE hose kit and the hose they use looks nice but it slightly bigger than stock 1/8" vac line. They can leak a bit off your nipples even with zip ties on them. I got some vac line for cheaper at a parts store and it fixed my problem. The other lines which don't see boost pressure are ok though. Not worth the price overall.

I dont want to dress the car up. I just want to replace my old crusty vacume lines wih new ones for peace of mind. Plain black no frills is all I need.

RRE does offer the kit in black

I got the RRE kit in black but the silicone hoses are too large to put the stock clamps (things you pinch together) back on. Definitely feels like I could have used the money better somewhere else.

So I just ordered a bunch of vacume line from summit. I was planning on picking up some zip ties to use instead of the old clamps. Will they work well enough for the job?
