well today i started to do all my maintenance stuff for my "new" eclipse. i started by changing my fluid, oil, rear, transfer case. no problems there but when i went to change my tanny fluid i noticed the plug wasn't all the way in  so as i started to take it out it felt like it had been cross threaded (any one who has faced this problem should know). and of course it has been, just my luck. I went ahead and changed my fluid and i didn't see any metal flakes if it, but my drain plug was screwed. Does anyone know where i can find a new one?

I had the exact same problem. If your threads are messed on the end like mine, I just took it to a pedistal grinder and shaved off the bad threads, and filed in the beginning to some new good ones. However if you dont have that ability, call up mitsu and order yourself a new one. They probably have one in stock.
