Hey. Got my MBC hooked up finally after getting an aftermarket guage. Problem is, when I turn it all the way down, I run around 12-13 psi, I turned it up about half way, and let off the gas when it hit 20psi. So, my question is why would it control it, but not go down any lower than that? It is a SBR MBC supposed to be like 5-30 or something like that, not 13-30, I was wanting to turn my boost down for daily driving. Looks like some of my govment cheese will be going into a 190lph pump.
Thanks in advance.

I ran it from the j-pipe, and other one to WGA. Like I said, it will control boost, on lowest setting, it runs around 12-13 and I put it about halfway down, and it shot up to 20 and I let off the gas there.

i dont think the mbc alone will bypass the actuator to drop boost below stock settings... but also if your boost is jumping that much from a couple of turns i'd check the spring inside i dont believe it should push boost 5-7 pounds from a couple turns

let me see. I would like to run around 8-9psi for daily driving. Mabey up to 12-13 on weekends and such. It isnt really a couple turns on it to get the boost up that high, it was half way in, which is quite a few turns. Guage seems to be pretty accurat, it is alot closer than the stock one was. I am starting with it all the way out and getting 12-13. I am probably going to be getting me a 190lph walbro pump and throwing it in to help combat against detonation. Are they too hard to put in?

you wont be able to run less than 10psi thats the stock w/g pressure,,,okay to remove the fuel pump you need to pop your rear hatch pull up the carpet(if any)on the left side you will see a black panel with wires, unplug the wire harness and remove the panel, you will see the round fuel pump cover with the fuel line the hardest part will be breaking loose the fuel line(14mm/19mm),once loose remove the pump cover bolts(i believe 5/16 or 8mm) pull out the whole f/p assembly disconect the plug, line, filter sock to the f/p,asembly is reverse good luck:thumb:

ok well, this mbc will be alot more usefull when i get that fuel pump huh? LOL. I needed to do something else to it anyways, it only spins thru 2nd now.

Yes, you won't be able to go any lower than what the wastegate is set for. If you still can't get it that low, make sure you disconnected the stock boost controller soliniod when you installed the MBC. You can't just put it in line, you have to bypass the soliniod. I accidently forgot to do that when i hooked up my MBC and i didn't realize it until i changed my BOV and the car started surging.
