First, sorry I had to post this here, I cant post in the auto section!

Second, I noticed when tuning my 2G auto, it pulls timing. I got a few responses over on DSMTALK. Here is a link, please read and let me know what you thoughts are on this mod. If you have done this, please let me know how its working for you and if it has fixed your timing being pulled.

If you follow the instructions, when the code is being thrown, can you just overide it with the logger ? Just mean resetting or will the car actually drive bad? Is the switch there to go back to normal driving when you dont want to race/boost?

I couldnt find more info on this due to the fact ATDSM is down.
 
Sounds like its worth a shot. They seem to be compitant in what they are doing. To answer your question, yes you can tune out any CEL lights. And yes the toggle switch is to turn this mod on and off from the looks of it. if you really wanna get fancy with this mod, you can purchase a normally open (NO) pushbutton switch and mount it under your gas pedal, so while your flooring it, the mod will kick in, then turn back off when your not.
 
Why would you want to turn it off though? If its not hurting anything like the article mentioned?

He mentioned you would have to turn the car off if the code is thrown, I'm not liking that to much( is that just to erase the check engine light maybe)?
 
Pm me I am working on a box like the IPT version. It will let you shift manually with a toggle switch for up and down , OR let the computer take over for every day driving. It will include three stages of shift firmness, and a transbrake. I have tested on one of my friends car and it works great. I am looking to give one to some one one the board to try and do a writeup about it so I can start selling them. It will save you close to $300 over the IPT setup that does the same thing. IF you are intersted let me know.
