I just installed an AVCR (had a mbc). All wiring is done correctly. In the instruction manual it shows two different setups, one I guess for stock setup, and one it says for wastegate setup(I am assuming external wastegate). All emissions have been removed and I have an turbonetics external wastegate. I tried vacuum setup of the diagram for mitsubishi. Did not work after different settings. I then tried the setup of the "WasteGate" diagram, still does not control boost after different settings. I had no issues with my mbc. I tried many different combinations of vacuum line setup. What I need is an answer from someone who has a similiar setup AND EXPERIENCE on installing an AVCR. The avcr solenoid has 3 openings, NC, NO, COM, and my wastegate has two nipples(w/ mbc one connected, other nipple left open). I need an answer as to which vacuum line to hook up where. Here's a link to the instruction manual link. Pg 40 for mitsubishi, Pg 44 for Wastegate setup.

To reclarify some of the website rules, IF YOU DON'T KNOW, DON'T spread misinformation, so
Please.....only someone who knows or has at least installed one if there are any DSMer's out there that use the AVCR. The car drives fine, just no boost controlling.

i have the greddy type s EBC. i have it set up on an internal wastegate. just make sure you hook up the soliniod where the MBC whould normally go. i never saw the reasoning for the different setup ways on my EBC. just make sure you have the solinoid in the right place and it should work. also, make sure you dont have it hooked up backwards. i dont remember exactly which lines go to which slot but your manual should tell u that. goodluck
