I have been collecting parts to turbo my nt, however I'm thinking about just doing light mods and saving up to buy up to a stock turbo dsm. I need advice from some dsm'rs though.

If I decided against turboing my car I was thinking of getting a full exhuast, cams, ported intake manifold and water injection. I know where to get the exhuast and water injection kit from but Cams are confusing me - what cams would work well with the nt 4g63 and give me a decent useable power increase?

I'm no longer looking to make 80-100 horses outta the car but rather maybe 30? I think this route would be a smarter and safer solution to boost right now (personally).

What do you guys think? :dsm: :talon: :laser:

I agree with the above statement.....

I personally dont think it's worth it to turbo the 420a. After you turbo it, you still won't have as much HP as a 4G63, and you'll have even less reliability than one too.

If you can't get out of that car anytime soon, the best upgrades I can think for you to do would be....

1. Cold Air Intake
2. Header
3. Catback
4. Nitrous kit (the ZEX dry shot kit is very easy to install, comes with everything you need, and is quite affordable. If you do get any Nitrous kit, make sure you get the bottle heater and bottle pressure gauge....it makes a world of difference if you're shooting a 50-60 shot at 1200psi vice 500psi.......at 1200psi you'll get the full shot, at 500psi you'll only make about half that...

If you did that, I think you would enjoy your car alot more until you could get your 4G63. Dont waste your money on Cams, Intake manifold etc. Those are very costly, difficult to install and will only net you a small HP increase in comparison to a nitrous kit. It's just not worth it.

I have a NT 4g63..

Anybody know of a good set of cams that would give me an increase in performance?

Those would still be a waste of money in my opinion.........unless you got a super deal on them

$500 or more for 5-8 hp? Doesnt add up to me....

This is why a turbo cam sounds like a good idea :thumb:
