So i came home and turned the car off. I forgot to put my windows up, so i turned the key to the point before it cranks the car and i noticed my fan turned on (the passenger side one). It's the first time this happened and I don't think it's supposed to. Any ideas?

most of my father's cars' fans do that, and he never reacted to it negatively. My dad is also one of those guys that knows everything about everything about cars. Just don't ask him about wiring and electronics :thumb:

The fan turning on and off is normal if you shut if off while still hot and turned the key on again. Temp sensors will still read the heat and kick the fan on. There should be a warning label on the fan shroud about this, something like CAUTION fan can turn on with or without engine running, but shouldnt kick on without key on.

Before you shut your car off, let it run for a minute or so to get some heat out of your engine. A turbo will trap heat inside the engine when not running.
