charging issue

hey guys my car is not charging so i started lookin around and i found these two wires danglin.. can anyone tell me what htey are for off the top of there head??

any help is greatly appreciated!!!

That looks like the wire that goes to the power stearing it kicks up the idle when you turn the stearing wheel. As for the charging, i would go to auto zone or advanced and get your batt tested and your alternator.
 
I would also check to make sure you are not draining your battery from a audio system or something improperly disconnected.
 
Totally agree with JBDdsmer610. My cousin's Nissan had the same thing. Turned out that his alternator went to hell. He got it rebuilt, I don't remember the price, but it was a lot cheaper than a new alternator, and his has been running strong for 8 months now.

As for the second wire, a ground, maybe?:confused:
 
That other wire is probably for the sending unit on the oil filter housing. Its either for the oil pres sending unit or for the idiot lite sending unit. Hope this helps
