How to tell which version of MAF Translator I have?

im not sure if i have the 1.3 version or 2+ how can i tell?

It's been a while since I've seen one, but I thought there was a sticker on the chip inside the translator that listed what version the chip is.

ya it says 1.3 but what if the chip was upgraded but the sticker wasnt changed....what hardware differences might there be that i may be able to notice.

I'm just asking because I have a setup very similar to yours, and we should have it ready to dyno in a week from today. So i'm curious to see what we can get...

my MAFT has two different revisions, board revision and chip revision. I know the v2 chip is more accurate, and has more dial/knob settings. I tried looking on MAFT's (fullthrottle) website, but they don't have an archive listing that I could find to better assist you.

well i feel dumb for asking this but i bought a maf traslator from a guy off craigslist, got it installed trying to tune but the two diffrent versions tune diffrently. any help will be appreciated!! the version number is the 2.02 0n front??

I have the version and 2.0 and its not labled. It can get tricky, this was asked about how to tell.

sorry i seached around but couldnt really find much information to tell the version. i set it off version 1.3 or something like that. it bogs/cuts out around 3k

Yeah its a chance you take when you get those things you just never know what version. Its really hard to tell which one you have if you looked that may be the best you come up with.

i tried every setting on 0, it idled perfect but cut out around 3k. then i tried base 2, aux 4. idled very very low, also cut out at 3k?

Ok I ran the stock maf for a little to make sure everything was fine. Then plugged the maft back up. Runs like a champ now! Sounds sweet runing vented now

So there's no way to tell what version Translator it is? I just ran into the same issue...

It will say the revision number on the circuit board in one of the corners. See the one below (bottom right corner) that is Rev 1.7.

1.7 for a 1g can it be wired up for a 2g?
