hellow all, I just got done droping in my brand new engine and I had installed a set of dks 264 272 cams. I did notis when i started it up the lifter noise was louder than normal. I used lifter shims would this have anything to do with it.? or was i saposeto bleed the lifters some how?? Or should i just wait it out and see if the lifter reajust beter. I onley have about 15min of run time on this engine because i am fixing an oil leek(waiting for a part).

When i put an aggressive cam in my neon there was more valvetrain noise, but it ran great. I'm not sure about DSM's...

lifters are meant to be primed... how long did you let the car run with the "louder" valvetrain noise? Did it start out loud and get quiet as it warmed up?
