Hey guys. I'm looking for the bolt size that goes from the Oil Return Line to the Oil Pan on my 7Bolt.
I think the head is 10mm and it's about 3/4'' long but not too sure.
ASAP!

Thanks.:dsm:

Oh, well you actually may be right. The line is leaking a TINY bit from there and it may be the bolts, but I thought they fit in fine. Hmmm

Did you remember to replace the copper crush washers that go between the bolt head and the flange on the return line?

Thats the feedline that has the crush washer not return.

They both do. The crush washer sizes are:

10mm - Banjo bolt for oil feed at cylinder head
12mm - Banjo bolt for oil feed at turbo (16G, 14b)
6mm - Bolts that go from return line to oil pan (none needed at turbo end of line)
14mm - Banjo bolts for coolant pipes at turbo

On the oil pan bolts the oil tends to find its way past the threads. Without the crush washers there will likely be a leak there.;)

Does anyone happen to know the bolt size that goes from the oil return line to the turbo ?
I can't find this one which is the one i need. Thanks.

I would also like to add that the crush washers on the oil return line need to be replaced as well as the gasket and make sure to scrape all of the old gasket off or there will definitely be a leak.

I never even knew the oil pan side bolts fot the return line had crush washers. I took that they were 6mm.

When I replaced my oil return line there were crush washers on the bolts so I went ahead and got more to put back on them, maybe someone just put them on LOL.

I just looked on CAPS and it shows that they in fact do have washers. Well Ill be damned. Learned something new today.

Its part number MF660031 if somebody wants OEM. LOL And they, JNZ, calls it a "gasket". Oh and this is for a 1g, but its probably the same for a 2g.

It seems that 14mm is the consensus for the water line banjo bolts, but I am 100% sure I used a 19mm socket to remove the banjo bolt from the front water line on my 14B.

I really am considering purchasing some SS water lines to ease installation/removal and to cut down on leaks, but I'm unsure at this point what fittings to buy since I have this conflicting information.

You read incorrectly. The 14mm romeen referred to is for the crush washer accompanying the bolt, not the bolt itself. However, the coolant banjo bolts are M14s. That does not mean a 14mm socket is the tool for the head of said bolts. M14 designates the bolt diameter -- the diameter of the bolt's shank or body. Thus, the bolt can require a 19mm socket, as you suggest, and be a M14 while using 14mm (or M14) crush washers.

Considering this in a different light, the oil return line to turbo and oil return line to pan bolts are M6s, but require a 10mm socket for servicing.

For future reference, the crush washers for the bolts on the lower part of the oil return line are MF660031, you'll of course need two.
