A buddy of mine is trying to decide on which turbo i get i say the bb 50 trim. He's looking to run a meth kit with it, and the highest amount of boost he can with like a 750 or so injector. He's mainly just ripping it around on the street and at the local drag strip. He has a basically stock 1g with a 6 bolt with 272 cams, magnus intake, eprom,255 lhp fuel pump with a fpr .What turbo should i suggest to him and what injector size. Also he wants to stay internally gated.

even with the upgraded 38mm internal waste gate and an atmosphere dump? I thought those two will help control it.

Itll leak making it unable to hold anymore boost. Youll be able to spike at your desired PSI but youll soon drop a couple psi until redline.

Stop feeding the fire :beatentodeath: On a non-adjustable WGA, it's true, but with an adjustable WGA like on a PTE BB5031, you can adjust the clamping force on it so it will hold more boost; Not to mention that you can shim the WGA bolts on an e316G for more clamping force too. With that said, My BB5031 holds 25 psi perfectly fine. No spike and no creep.

BB50 > e316G, especially with the goals that were set.

im also thinking about the 5031rle...but im confused about if you can use the stock o2 housing and my apexi n1 downpipe. is there any customization involved w/ this turbo? i know its flanged for a mitsu manifold, but i dunno about the other stuff.

thanks for the help

Just out of curiosity, on your setup, when do you reach full spool? and when do you reach say 15psi?
Thanks!

24.5 psi by 3900. I'll see 15 psi by low 3k mark. After 15 psi the boost builts fast and hard. :thumb:

stock o2 and downpipe should fit fine, especially if you already have it bolted up to your car (won't alter space or fitment)

and, external is always the better option, but for arguements sake a properly tightented internal WG does a good job also.
