does anyone know if it is possible to get datalogger software on a pocket pc powered by microsoft. i can only find the software for palm OS

I believe that all of it is for Palm OS. The most recent thing that I have seen is PocketLogger is now able to run on two smartphones. The Palm Treo 650 and 700.

It's not a very common operating system right now. I think as time goes on you will see more and more smartphones and PDA's go to that operating system (unfortunately). When that happens most of the logging software will probably migrate as well.

Palm OS Required:

In order to run PocketLOGGER, the PDA must be running the Palm OS version 3.0 or later and must have a serial port. There are several manufacturers that make Palm OS PDAs including Palm, Handspring, and Sony.

That is straight off PocketLogger's site. I would say they would be the first to migrate over since they are one of the best loggers on the market. It says the same thing for Smartphones as well. I know MMCD has to run on Palm OS as well. Those are the only two loggers that I have experience with so if there is another one out there that will run on a Windows OS than I am unaware of it.

There new version of windows for PDA's is called Windows Mobile by the way. :thumb:

I just did a quick search for palm pilot forums and came up with this:

http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=5

You may want to post a thread on there to see if it is possible or just do some searching on there to see if someone has already answered your question. I am pretty sure that you are stuck with that operating system because the palm pilot was designed for it. On the other hand, I am running Linux on a laptop that was designed for XP so anything is possible.
