Hitting 20psi has nothing to do with your BOV. Your MBC is probably not hooked up correctly, not set correctly, or not functioning properly.

Did you check and make sure you have the BOV hooked up correctly? If your MBC isn't controlling or lowering the boost, you could have wastegate or an incorrectly installed MBC.

How'd you connect it?

So it boosted before to stock levels and then you installed the BOV and MBC at the same time?

1st run the line straight to the wastegate and bypass your MBC. If you run about stock level boost then you know it's an issue with your MBC. Most likely it would mean it is hooked up incorrectly or you need to open it up more.

cant the MBC and BOV control the boost?

The main part that controls the boost level is the MBC. The settings on the BOV dont have anything to do with your boost level, unless it was installed incorrectly. When your setting a MBC, it takes some time to have it sit at the correct amount of boost, you have to just keep adjusting the level untill, you get the right amount of boost that you want.

Take it from someone that has made numerous boost controllers, it's not something that you are going to get right the firsrt time. It take alot of playing with spring rates, and getting the ball to seal correctly. I've got it down to a science now. I even make them for my friends. PM me if you need some advice.

I'd recommend a boost leak test as well. If your BOV is leaking, you may have problems boosting (looks like it's holding, though, since you're getting 20psi). If you did anything other than the BOV to your intake tract or if you've never done a boost leak test, you should do one. It might suprise you how it affects the performance of your car.:thumb:

Let me be the first to point out how dangerous 20 PSI is without the propper mods. Please.. byt all means.. stay out of that 20 psi range. I am sure it is running lean enough to do some damage. Glad to see everyone gave you all the info you need... but if the car is still in that condition.. please be carefull. Your pistons depend on it

dude i dont even think this kid has a dsm he had a thread up asking for al the dsm people on thsio forum to be generous and dontate money to get him one and it got deleted guys WHACK
