Which style housing would you guys suggest gong with?

GT30R with T3 housing and port matched adapter plate like so...

GT30R with dsm 7cm style housing

I'd imagine that the t3 would flow a lot better than a dsm style housing and the 3" 4 bolt exhaust would be super easy to work with. I have never been a fan of having to use an 02 housing and i think that they slow down the exhaust flow a considerable amount compared to a regular 3" downpipe. But i know that some people have problems with the t3-dsm adapter plates.

I just wanted some input. Thanks
Kevin

Why not just do it right and buy a T3 manifold from one of our supporting vendors. I would cost a little more but would be a lot cleaner and would be well worth it in the end

GO t3 :thumb: ! Just get the t3 manifold and a custom downpipe from a exhaust shop and get them you mount the 02 sensor. I believe it should be at least 12" away from turbo.

Why 12' away from the turbo, the stock one is in the O2 housing. Thats like 4' from the turbo. Im not arguing im just curious. Being that it needs to heat up I would think the close the better. The 1g O2 housing has it at the top of the housing right where the spent turbine gasses come out.

I'm not sure how an o2 housing works but the shop that I had my exhaust done said it needed to be there also there was someone on here that said it as well. Sorry I couldn't be any help.

go t3 , mitsu housings are good for spool up , but they are also restricted for big turbos. u'll make more power on a t3 or t4 turbo setup then on a mitsu flange with the same turbo.

Is there any advantage in longer runners on a manifold.... or a top mount manifold?
