Highest Power Mitsu Exhaust manifold

I've seen a ported 2G mani run a 10.8 1/4. you do the math.

I just don't understand without knowing the rest of the setup how that answers his question, Hell I know someone with a 2g manifold and a 14b that went into the 10's.

To OP yes people have done over 500whp(guaranteed thanks to people like evileagle) probably over 600whp. I'm not quite sure what you mean by withstand, If you mean by temperatures then yes no problem. If your asking if it will become a restriction at 450whp then yes it will become quite restrictive and power could be picked up by switching to a t3 manifold and a proper sized exhaust housing.

People have done over 600whp on a 2g manifold with the use of nitrous, not sure on turbo alone though.

zThanks venom,

that answers my question a little bit better.I apoligize that it was so vague, but I was kinda sleepy when I started this thread.

Im looking for 430- 460 whp. I know the t3 are more efficient but I wont be trying to pull every pony and will prob rarely see drag strip action. Im looking for a reliable street car and I hear the cast mani's are the way to go if you wanna be problem free for years to come.

Im just wondering if I go with a PTE 5031E if the mitsu housing and manifold will play a great deal with spool up and boosting manners. I will be externally gated on the manifold and prob go with SBR mitsu flanged mani. Id love to go t3, but maybe since this is my 1st project car I should just keep the setup more simple and with many year old proven mothods.

If you know end velocity on a set distance or a given time period, you can guestimate HP based upon the assumption of weight of the vehicle.

Guessing 3500 lbs @ 10.4s 1/4 mile = 615 hp at wheel or ~ 726 hp at the crank.

yeah but those dont factor gearing or suspension capabilities. trap speeds are more relative to the hp output.

No at that level it won't be a large restriction(I run the 6152sp and only expect a 3mph difference between mitsu housing and a properly sized t3)
430-460whp: What fuel or fuel combination are you planning to run to achieve this power level with that turbo?
Some people on this board have recommended t3 setups that are durable, and are what they wish they would have done from the beginning. (this doesn't help you much because I don't have a link to their recommendations, maybe you have the time to search.)

No time slip, no vehicle info, no help
Using that calculator could you tell me how much hp that 14b was making to run 10's. Go ahead and guess 3500lbs. (Where's the elevation numbers for these time slips?)
Conclusion: No guessing.

Perhaps when I used the word "guesstimate" to define the value you took it as a litteral value. It is an estimate to get you in the ball park nothing more. The poster gave enough information to provide an estimate of the amount of power he was producing though not the exact amount.

hp = weight / (ET / 5.825)^3

My fuel setup is up in the air right now. In due time I could do anything, but I want the car up and running on low boost since ZIm building up my whole motor. The engine is out and put together, all im missing is an EGR block-off and my water pump which I have not picked up from a friend yet.

I was thinking of getting the car up and running on stock injectors and fuel pump and only using the 50 trim @ 10-11 psi tops. Im just kinda guessing on this, as most people upgrade all this and are able to monitor engine vitals.

I just want the car up and running and able to break in before sumer starts, I started school and now because of my schedule i cant have a second job so the funding for the gt30r project was scrapped. I just want her up and running again.

I think the 1st thing I need is to buy the fwd TRE or Shep tranny since my second gear synchro was already grinding and on accelerations to redline in 1st sometimes it was difficult to switch to 2nd gear.

Do you think it would be okay or a good idea to run the 50 trim on low boost with stock mods?? I mean every few weeks id have enough money for mods so I would eventually do all fuel, fmic, smim, in the next few months.

Any ideas ?
