Another chip or dsmlink

I have two chips right now, my car chop is setup to read knock where the boost gauge is and at certain throttle points or over 10psi ill start to knock. I wanna know if one of the 2 chips could be reburnt or if i could get a chip that would give me a great tune or should i get dsmlink and just tune out the problems myself or the option i really want to do is get Aem standalone. Only question about that is it going to be over 1,600 bucks ? I've got a friend that is pretty damn good at tuning them. I just don't know if i can justify putting the money into one since I'll never be pushing extremely high #'s

I would get a logger and figure out why you're knocking. You will also need a tuning device like an AFC. Your profile doesn't say anything about a fuel pump or injectors, is that right?

I have a 190lph and 680cc injectors. I could tune with the translator, but would rather not have to. I'm hoping to get my wideband on soon

I have a Safc in my room right now and i've used them before i guess i really could tune with that no problem i just didn't like them that much. I may just sell the 1 and get a Safc 2 and clean up my problems with that.

As I said on BRforums WV, I think the DSMlink is a truly badass setup, its quite a nice chip that has lots parameters that you can toy with. Defintly a great chip that will allow you to not be locked into one tune. Go for it!

I think that would be dropping 200 on a safc2. I think i might just save a lil bit and buy it. I've heard its very tuner friendly, but i guess I get nervous about trying something new to me.

I will personally be using DSMlink, and think it is a real nice setup. Saves money on EMS and it is just for us DSM guys.

Sorry, I looked over the fact you have a translator. It would be helpful to log a pull so you can see exactly when you're knocking, then you can adjust your translator accordingly. It would also be good to check the basics, like testing for boost leaks.
