Ok i couldn't really find much info if it is worth it to port out or buy a ported 2g manifold(noticed now that it is a 1g manifold). I just saw one on ebay for like 100 bucks ported to 70 mm and powder coated and everything. Are there any gains to be noticed from swapping manifolds? I know the 2g is normally pretty restrictive so would this ported one make a noticeable difference?

This is the item i an referring to.

I know it would look nicer than my dirty stock one, but it really comes down to if i gain any performance with it. If anyone has any experience or knowledge with this please let me know.
Also if it does give any performance would that just bolt up the same or would i have to port anything else to match it to see the gains?

The pic shows a 1g manifold, unless you have a 6 bolt swap it is not recommended to bolt on a 1g manifold to a 2g head as the runners are different sizes and no there will not be any performance gain.Try an extrude honed manifold for some nice gains, ffwd connection offers this service, its at the bottom of the page, heres the link.

I thought it was recommended to upgrade to a 1g intake manifold as they flow much better. What would i have to do to swap a 1g intake manifold on to my 2g and see some gains? Would gains only be noticeable with high hp setups?

What is recommended is to swap to a 1g head and intake. Just having the 1g intake isnt going to do anything for you. The intake ports on the 2g head are to small to accept the runners on a 1g intake.

Is the 1g head and intake manifold a direct bolt on? What else would i have to get to install that? Is it worth it with goals of only 300 at most, probably less for a daily driver to see any noticeable gains?

If your goals are only 300 hp than I would just stick with the 2g setup. My cousin put down 295 hp with his 2g with a stock motor and properly setup bolt ons.
