FP install/upgrade question
I've read a few tech articles about FP replacement/upgrade, and they agree that you should disconnect the lower end of the high pressure fuel line rather than try disconnecting the upper end at the FP.
The vfaq article suggests cutting the sheet metal of the seat floor and bending it out of the way to make room for pulling the pump+line out and reinstalling it.
I was wondering if you could disconnect the bottom end first, then disconnect the upper end and be able to rotate the whole line with the bottom end free. I cringe at cutting my car to replace a part, and I was wondering if anyone had tried this successfully. I'm not sure if the line would still bind and twist even with the lower end free. I guess I could do a turn or two on the top end, then get under the car and turn the lower end to get rid of any twist, but that sounds tedious.
Thanks!
