Today on my drive up to school when I was just reaching my school when turning and when going over bumps my front driver side tire would make a squeaking noise. When I got to my school and rocked my car up and down it made the noise. Also going around turns it would really make the noise as well. It sounds like the shock may be bad but I'm not completely sure. I still got a drive home about 45mins and I'm in class now so just also wanted to know if I may be calling for a pick up on my way home. LOL

Sounds to me like a worn bushing, or possibly the sway bar link. Also, there was an Eclipse in my shop earlier this week that had requested us to do recall work on it. Apparently, there is a recall on the lower control arms, which make a noise such as you explain. I would recommend checking up on any recalls for your car.

I had the same rythmic squeek and then then my ball joint filed on me. Change it ASAP. its $90 for the pair for the front, cheaper then

$90 Lateral arms
$65 used fender
$65 New Air dam
$197 Painting of fender and air dam
$120 replacing front struts
$75 new axle
-------
$612

That was it happening at 2mph. Imagine the damage that could have been on the freeway.

Same problem only on passenger side. Replaced lower controll arm and squeak is gone.

I got the arms from a "U Pull and Pay" junk yard for $15 each off a 95 GS hulk that had apparently just had the arms changed before the accident. They were still black and the Mitsu. parts sticker was still on them. :D
