did a search on here bofore posting, came up with two conclusions, but now i'm stuck to which route to go. Figured Id ask on here and see what some of you on here have done.

have some 550s going in on saturday. They are used and before I put them in I wanted to clean them.

Should I just soak them in some carb cleaner/ seafoam?

Or, actually hook up some 25psi compressed air to it and shoot the carcleaner through them?

If I soak them I need to somehow tape/seal of the erea that has the electrical connection right?

Thanks!

If you want them just to look clean, spray them with some Simple Green. If you want them to flow correctly, send them to a professional. They test the injectors to ensure that they flow properly. If you don't have the money, install them and drop in some fuel injector cleaner. Here's a write up to show you how they test the injectors (I'm sure you don't have these tools):

yea i have read that post.

also read about using some fuel line and placing it over the top of the injector then putting carb cleaner in the hose and then forcing it through with say 25psi making the injector sqirt like it would in the car.

thought if I soaked them for a few days perhaps that would do good.

keep them coming.

From looking at the pictures, that pretty much what they are doing as well. Pressurizing the injectors and cleaning them at the same time. (yes monitoring them at the same time too).

can 550s keep up with a 18gs full flow rates
Im getting like 880s or something one day but I only currently have stock 450s and
am getting some 550s for free soon and were just going to run them for the time being.

depending on your supporting mods and the amount of boost your running. you will prob overun them around 20psi. I have dsm link and and evo 3 and im going to grab a set of 850cc this gives me room to upgrade in the future if i need to. Remeber with most mods you want to do the procedure once, so if your getting dsm link id go 750cc and bigger. Even if you dont max them out the duty cycle will be pretty high.

I said I was getting 880s, but im getting some 550s for FREE so since I only have 450s now Im going to run the 550s in the mean time and will either have a evo3 16g or a 18g on my car in the next month so was wondering how far the 550s can go with suppose the 18g.... Dont have a fmic yet which I know is also a major factor but was looking for a basic idea of how much airflow 550s have been known to reliably handle.

And is that 20psi on a 16g or 18g? I dont really know the flow rates of a 18g I never hear much about that turbo other than it will hold full boost a little longer than a 16g...

Well it depends how much boost you plan on running but id say the evo3 and the 18g flow around the same amount of power so, you would prob max them out around 18psi on both turbos. But without the front mount you cant turn it up past 15psi. I dont the exact air flow.
