I have a question... If any is in ft hood and knows about DEEPSTAGE. I want to get my car turboed but it will be a custom job for 6500. The thing is that I have an automatic and I know that you will need to build the auto to handle but I don't know what to tell them to do as far as that part goes. Someone please help me out. I love my whip(car) and I will it to be a bit faster because DSM is know for putting peps to shame and right now my whip looks good but it's a little on the not so fast side.

Well, the basic turbo on the 4g64 will produce around 200-250hp. I think your a/t will be okay until you get into the high hp numbers. Let me know if you have any other questions, I'm finishing my turbo project right now. Good luck!

I dont think your issue will be with your transmission. Heres the deal. The Stock 4g64 block is going to have a higher compression ratio than our 4g63's. Thus, you don't really need to worry about your transmission. You need to worry about your self control enough to keep the boost down because your engine is more likely to grenade(with higher boost) than your tranny. Since you sound Military, I doubt thats an issue.
Your transmission will be FINE unless you upgrade your 4g64 internals. Soooo it goes: Turbo, keep the boost down. Done. OR Internals, turbo, transmission. unlimited possibilities.
Pick your poison.

Also....for almost 7g's you can pick up a 97-99 GSX....So...I would HIGHLY recommend you just buy a GST or hell even a GSX both 5 speeds of coarse. Unless your into the auto's....they CAN be faster on the drag strip....
