Well I can pick up a 2g maf from a friend for free. Now I have 680cc inject. but no way to control them. Now is can you use a maf trans with the 2g maf or just the gm maf. I can pick the gm maf up for $30. Now I know your alot are going to say run dsmlink. But I dont have the funds to buy that plus the ecu right now. Just for my daily driver with some power when want to go to the track sometimes.
 
Whats the max you can run with a maf-t? Can you just put the 2g maf on or will it lean the car out. I have bigger chrage pipes and turbo but still on stock fuel but not pushing it over 10psi.
 
You need a SAFC to run the 2g maf or some type of compensation. It will run real lean. I went with a SAFC and 550cc injectors since its all the safc can run. People have layed down over 500whp on a 2g maf. The maf-t is a good for over 600hp. People have ran 680's with a SAFC but its harder on our 1g's due to aggresive timing maps.
 
Pick up the 2g MAF and sell it. Buy the GM MAF and MAFT, then wait till you can buy DSMLink to install the injectors. Best route you can go.
 
i agree go with the 2g maft, as for controling the injectors 660s are going to be really hard to control with a safc but thats your best bet right now if you cant afford dsm link.
 
Well what if I kept the 2g maf and ran the 680cc with a key chip and a afpr. Woud I really need to do anyother tunning?
 
No actually thats the best way to go. Make sure you talk with keydriver guys to get the best set up. You can get all kinds of stuff. Once you get the chip with custom fuel and timing maps all you need to tune with is octane, boost, fuel pressure. This way is pretty much the second best thing to dsmlink.
