Should I get a MBC before moving forward?

Currently I've got a stock system, with most of the free mods taken care of. I'll boost a consistant 13 pounds with no spike. From what I've read, the T25 doesn't do much more than that reliably. My question is, should I get a MBC to keep my boost levels at 13-15 pounds of boost so I can safely upgrade some other parts of my car now, such as a different intake, and upper/lower intake pipes (hard instead of the rubber ones), exhaust, ect?

Also, something I wondered about was when I do end up getting a FMIC, would it be benifical to keep my old SMIC and run the turbo to the FMIC and from there to the SMIC before going to the TB, or would that hurt performance?

You would want to remove the smic. If your going with a fmic, dont buy any intercooler pipes. Get exhuast, fuel upgrades stuff like that. The mbc is good mod but you dont need it untill your upping the boost.

As for the MBC, get it if you are planning on upgrading in the future. I ran my T25 for over a year at 15psi daily. Previous owner did too.

As for the FMIC, I would remove SMIC, a FMIC will be big enouph to cool the incoming air.

I dont believe I have ever seen a FMIC used with a SMIC. There really is no need cause after the inercooler its going to be chilled anyways no heat is generated after FMIC. Perhaps at high boost levels or when its really hot out it might help. I'm sure somone on here will chime in on that issue. I think it would such having to run the piping for that seeing that the inlets for the FMIC and SMIC are prob diff.

Getting a boost controller is a good idea, it doesn't cost a lot and you'll use it later. You can build you're own from parts from Home Depot. They're also easy to install. No big deal!

I should have been a little more clear. I don't mean specific pipes just for the side mound. More or less pieces I've got laying around that I could make up to replace the current ones. I wouldn't really be spending much on them, and could probably easily make them work with a FMIC.

I'm just more or less worried about boost spikes if I start doing other upgrades such as the intake and exhaust. I'd rather have some of that knocked out, so when I upgrade to an Evo III down the road, I'm tuning less since these mods would already be on there.
