Kay. Heres the deal, plain and simple. I've read about dsm's and lived on this forum for the passed year and a half or so. Now I finally have my own..

96 eclipse GST - mods include...

-wiseco stock bore pistons and eagle rods
-SBR evo III 16g kit (manifold,turbo,o2housing etc.)
-8.5mm ignition wires/plugs
-off brand MBC
-Large frontmount, don't know brand, got from friend.
-hks ss blow off valve
-255 fuel pump
-stock injectors (should I change?)
-hks boost gauge, and a/f gauge.
- Apexi N1 catback exhaust 2.5

STOCK tranny and clutch etc.

Kay, I recently have had all these mods installed. Car seems to run fine, no fuel cut, no problems whatsoever. It pulls like hell... Im pretty happy with it. I haven't boosted it passed 12psi, and haven't wound it passed 6k rpm. I just toy with it... I want to start racing with it and having some fun, just figure Id break it all in first. Keep in mind, this is a toy, not intended to be a monster. I just wanted a nice reliable boosted dsm, that can rape someone if I feel the need to. But I want it to be a reliable toy, and don't want to be wrecking it unintentionally. Therefore...

I live in Holland, MI. Im willing to drive anywhere in the state, and I will hand someone 250 bucks cash, just to help me with it. Someone with knowledge of course. Just to go for a ride with meh, tell me how you think it feels and if it seems right. To tell meh if I need anything else that would be kind of mandatory to keep it reliable, and a daily driver. Just a thourogh inspection, and advice. No joke, this is a serious offer.

Help?

well i would suggest p/ming 99gst_racer. A very knowlegable guys that works at lanes automotive. He knows his shit and he loves money LOL. give him a try and good luck

you should have a AFPR to go with that 255. Injectors and safc or dsmlink would be the next logical step after that and then you could raise the boost some.

LOL i have always used the technique that when it breaks or when i find out about it i fix it...

I WOULD NOT PAY SOMEONE 250 BUCKS TO LOOK OVER MY CAR. you need to get some car friends man LOL :thumb:

If the car doesn't have an AFPR you should definitely get one. The 255 overruns the stock regulator. How's your mpg?

Before you do anything at all I would get that Fuel Pump under control with a Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator. One can be had at www.extremepsi.com for $145-$155 plus the cost of the fittings you will need.

After that your next weakest link is the stock injectors, but if you go larger then 650's I would recommend either a DSM chip or DSMlink to compliment your SAFC that you will be needing with the upgraded injectors.

Also I noticed you where still on your stock clutch and flywheel. Before or After (your choice) I would highly recommend an upgraded clutch and flywheel. I am not going to TELL you what to get because people have their own opinions but after the clutch I am on in my car goes I will be getting a ACT 2600 and the ACT flywheel and ditching my fidanza (mostly because the ACT flywheel is already stepped for the ACT clutch kit)

If I were you, I'd save the $250 and buy these things: AFPR, data logger and fuel management of some sort (pocketlogger + safc , or DSMlink), 650cc injectors, and an aftermarket clutch. If you think 12psi pulls....get ^^ those add ons and bring that 16g to life with 20psi and a good tune!!
