removing cc issue

Hey guys, I was trying to clean up the engine bay some and remove that ugly cruise control box.

I couldn't undue one of the screws (stripped) so I decided to break out the hacksaw. I didnt cut the throttle cable, I cut the cruise control one. I didn't know the throttle cable hooked up to the same thing as the cruise control. I just want to know if I messed anything up.

Also, I've read that a non-cruise control cable could eliminate the need for that ugly rusty box, is it true?

I dont know about removing the box entirely but I removed my cruise cable and havent had a ny problems so you should be fine. I think you still need that box because your throttle cable is connected from the inside of the car to it then the cable comes from it to the throttle body. Someone else may have more info than this. Hope this helps some. Travis

I guess I will have to put that damn box back in the car until I get a noin cruise control cable or whatever.. what a waste of time haha

I HAVE NO GAS PEDAL PRESSURE NOW! I don't know why but I felt the gas pedal with the car off and it was weightless. I turned the car on and it did the same thing, i floored it and the rpms didnt even go up. What have I done?! How can I fix this? I need to drive my car!!!

don't get all scared just stop by a junk yard and find a 1.8 TEL and pull the non cruise cable quick fix for cheap and then you can take out the box don't worry about the plug it don't hurt anything

the junkyard buy me only has a 2g talon and its stripped, besides i cant go anywhere when my car doesnt move!
