Hi there,

I'm using my palm n stein on my palm IIIc w/ Palm OS version 4.0 I loaded all that up with my USB Serial cable from my laptop since I do not have a standard serial cable. It's supposed to emulate a serial port, so that is how I hotsync my palm, and all... anyways, I am wondering how to get a better sample rate from a palm n stein, and also how I can transfer the logs to my pc and view with tunerplayer.. I tried going to the logs in my palm, and pressing the button to transfer them, and also tried connecting to the palm via tunerplayer... is there a way to transfer the log files to the PC just by hotsync??? and also, I turned hotsync completely off while trying to get TUNERPLAYER to connect to the palm, all 4 ports, and no luck, still get the same error 103 code... somethin like that.. Thank you!

Its pretty complicated at first when I got mine, and it might be different since I here the usb/serial port won't transfer out logs onto the computer. But if you do get access to a desktop with a serial port, open up tunerplayer and then click what you did before. I think the reason you get an error is it can't go through a usb. The only way to get those logs onto the pc is to go through tuner player, hotsync doesn't do anything for that.

I used a program called palm one to transfer files from the palm to the pc.

Also as far as tunerstein goes you have to press f3 to initiate the transfer once you select the file. Make sure that your "hotsync" program is not open. The only program that should be open is tunerstein and then just select the port and press f4 select the file, then f3.I hated the program when I had it though, but hey its free.

thanks, well, yes, I closed out hotsync program and clicked on the connect to palm button, but all ports say the palm error 103... it wont give me a chance to push the F3 button to transfer...I guess i'll just wait to get my hands on a desktop then i'll try.. thanks,

Mark
