Hi there, I have an EVOIII GT with 18G and clipped 15 degree td05 internals.. I would like to get the full potential of the turbo.. which compressor housing can I get that is larger but has the same outlet.. I would like to use my same intercooler piping. and have better flow.. I had to cut it already once when I had the super 16G, but when I got this turbo, I welded it back and bolted right on..... thanks.. here's a pic of mine now.. Will it make a difference, or should I just stick with this housing??

You won't really gain anything from switching housings. I would stick with the one you have. Might gain some spool with a smaller A/R but that's about it.

A larger housing will create a cooler air charge. Compare a B cover and an E cover on a 50 trim and you'll find that there's a distinct difference in IAT at the same boost levels due to greater spacing between the wheel and the cover. Granted the smaller cover will help spool but the larger one will allow for a slightly larger tuning window. If you want a great cover for a 16G/18G variant, see if you can find one of the Greddy downflow covers.

Smaller turbos LOVE to make heat. A larger cover isn't a commonly sought after solution, but it's certainly something that would help.
